Excellent water activities, staff, and service

Snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking around the resort was incredible. At first, we were mildly disappointed (with humanity, not the resort) because most corals seemed unfortunately dead, but the more we explored, especially during high tide, the more stuff we saw - clownfish (Nemo), Dory fish (Dory), parrot fish, giant parrot fish, giant clams, squids, stingrays, urchins, damsel fish, catfish, and many more we cannot name. We were also very fortunate to see monitor lizards, lots of hornbills, and macaques. The resort has the Marine Ecology Center within it that is trying to boost the growth of corals as well as the local giant clam population, which is fantastic to see. Kayaking in the mangroves during high tide was also excellent. A lot of the food was delicious. And we barely used the infinity pool because we spent most of our time in the sea, but that was nice too. The staff are all very kind!

Nothing against the resort, but the corals are unfortunately mostly dead because of climate change :(. It was still fantastic to see all the incredible marine life we did, and kudos to the resort for hosting the Marine Ecology Research Center there.

nice big room with comfortable kingsize bed big balcony have infinity pool breakfast overlooking the sea

the room and balcony is only worth if you are check in into seaview property, jungle view is a big let down the seaview was so expensive for local not much of beautiful corals nearby

I was relocated to Bunya Raya Resort. it’s really a nice place for get away from City. relax and quite. 3 days 2 nights stay is a must so that you can enjoy the facilities and environment. all staff are very friendly. food also okay. will go again

Very relaxing. The path to the little beach ground the corner was sadly closed as it was in such disarray.

The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us.

The property was undergoing some repairs and it was obvious there was still more required. Our room had just been completed so it was beautiful. When fully complete it could be good value for money.

„Mieserabel wir wurden übelst getäuscht. Betrug in großen Stiel.

Es wurde eine 95 m2 Villa für viel Geld gebucht und wir bekamen 36m2 kleine alte abgewohnte Bungalowhälfte. Blanker Betrug und das übelste was ich in 40 Jahren reisen erlebt habe. Kakerlaken im Zimmer und hämmernde Bauarbeiten im Nachbargebäude den ganzen Tag, alle Tage. Wir sind 6 Tage früher abgereist, weil es in diesem winzigen lauten und heißen Schuppen nicht auszuhalten war. Der teuerste und gleichzeitig schlechteste Urlaub ever. Die Leute werden mit 95m2 Villa gelockt und bekommen 36m2,(6x6m) Bruchbude.

The hotel was lovely, the room was big and very comfortable, food at the restaurant was overpriced but very tasty. The staff was very friendly

I don't know that the services are worthy of the prices applied (minor things but at some point there was no toilet paper in the restrooms in the pool area, there are not enough beach umbrellas for all the lounging chairs by the pool, basic items such as shampoo and soap were missing from the room). Again, in a different hotel applying different prices, these things wouldn't matter so much but in a place that sells a 'luxury' experience, they're a bit more difficult to accept Then there are the things that are a bit out of the hotel's control but that still impact the overall experience, such as no real beach access, the trash (plastic etc) that washes up on the shore with the tide (there's truly a lot even though the hotel staff tries to collect it)

Na teleurstelling van omboeking toch een fijn verblijf genoten

Fantastische lokatie aan zee en in de jungle. Duiken geweldig, ik ben zeer tevreden met de duikbegeleiding.

We zijn omgeboekt naar Bunga Raya Resort omdat Gaya Marine Resort overboekt zou zijn. Dat was een teleurstelling omdat we juist dit resort hadden gekozen vanwege de villa’s op het water. We zijn wel netjes opgevangen in Bunga Raya.

Excellent service and peaceful stay.

They helped to conserve the coral reefs which is very good. The place was very clean. The staffs were amazing and polite, properly trained. The room were spacious and beautiful. Provided kayaking and snorkeling. very peaceful to stay in there.

Everything is expensive in there, be prepared to pay US price for food and beverages.
